Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

Overview

Itsypin is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Your pinned sites and settings stay on your Mac.

Data we do not collect

Itsypin does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal information (name, email, etc.)
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Crash reports
  • Device identifiers
  • Location data
  • Your pinned sites, browsing activity, or any web content
  • Any data to third-party services

Data stored locally

Itsypin stores the following data locally on your Mac:

  • Your pinned sites (names, URLs, and keyboard shortcuts)
  • App preferences and settings
  • Website data (cookies, caches, and local storage) managed by Apple's WebKit, just like in Safari

Network communication

Itsypin has no server-side component. The only network activity is loading the websites you pin and fetching their favicons, which happens directly between your Mac and those websites. The sites you visit may collect data according to their own privacy policies, exactly as they would in a browser.

Third-party services

Itsypin does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app uses only native Apple frameworks.

Open source

Itsypin is open source software. You can review the complete source code on GitHub to verify our privacy practices.
